Mindshare in the News

This week's latest news includes more on our latest award win, new work from Fruit by the Foot, wave four of our global 'The New Normal' research and this week's POVs and updates from Mindshare Canada.

The Webby Awards win

Wild Turkey, Mindshare, and Complex won a People’s Voice Award for “The Spirit of Conviction” in the Branded Documentary category. Mindshare played a role in leading and developing this program; it was a true cross-discipline effort across Mindshare’s teams in Content+, Planning, Digital Investment, and more.

New work: Fruit by the Foot

With millions of teenagers stuck at home and running out of things to do, Mindshare identified a challenge that Fruit by the Foot could help solve—quarantine boredom. Working at light speed, the team tapped into challenge culture and asked teens to go head-to-head in the Fruit by the Foot challenge, and gave top contestants the chance to compete against pro athletes in a final showdown. Mindshare led a partnership with Whistle Sports to quickly create the contest, source high profile sports and entertainment talent to participate, create promotional content across social, and create a platform for viewers to tune-in on YouTube Live for the final showdown, taking place this Friday (05/29).

The New Normal: Global COVID-19 Report

The New Normal is Mindshare's global research across 10 markets that tracks changes in consumer behaviors, media consumption, and more. The markets include China, the U.S. (leveraging our Insights team’s ongoing U.S. COVID-19 research), Italy, India, and more. Wave four data shows that the spikes in usage of online media around the world are by and large beginning to drop in line with markets coming out of lockdown and getting access to more physical freedoms. However, the trend of online shopping continues to increase, even though some markets have now lifted restrictions on many forms of physical shopping.
