Pride Month at Mindshare
Pride is celebrated every June, commemorating the Stonewall Riots of 1969. Working with Mindshare Collective’s LGBTQIA+ identity group and GroupM’s Pride Alliance ERG, we’ve pulled together resources and events for how we can educate ourselves, grow, celebrate, and take action to support the LGBTQIA+ community—not just today, but year-round because Pride is not just a season. At Mindshare, we’re proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community, inclusivity, and the freedom to be our authentic selves.
Some Significant Moments in LGBTQ+ History
1946 - The first LGBT Organization, the Netherlands “Center for Culture,” is established.
1969 - The Stonewall Uprising.
1970 - The first Gay Pride parade is founded by bisexual Brenda Howard, and they march in New York from Greenwich Village to Central Park.
1977 - Harvey Milk becomes the first openly gay elected official in California.
2009 - International Transgender Day of Visibility.
2015 - Gay marriage is legalized in the U.S.
2020 - US Supreme Court protects LGBTQ+ employees.

Moderated by GroupM's Pride Alliance ERG, join this panel session where several members across the LGBTQIA+ Community shares their journey and discusses the importance of creating inclusive spaces for physical fitness, mental wellbeing, as well as what barriers can still be broken. Join here.
- Virtual Volunteering Session: Drag Bingo in Support of Queens of the Castro | Wednesday, June 29th | 4:00pm ET | Virtual
To celebrate Pride Month, Mindshare and The Trade Desk are excited to present Drag Bingo in support of Queens of The Castro! This is no ordinary bingo, but an amazing way to give back to LGBTQIA+ youth while having some fun! A community celebrity from Queens of the Castro will host this engaging game while sharing more about their organization. Attendees will compete for in demand supplies that will be donated to students that Queens of the Castro supports.
