Mindshare's Tom Johnson, Global Chief Digital Officer, provided insights on Apple and Meta’s earnings, reported by The Guardian.

Excerpt: “As a largely hardware company, Apple is arguably more directly exposed to supply chain issues than the other tech giants reporting earnings this week, but it also has a growing services business that is an important part of its diversification strategy, so it has flex in its model,” Tom Johnson, the global chief digital officer at Mindshare Worldwide, said of Apple’s quarterly earnings.

Mindshare’s Tom Johnson, Global Chief Digital Officer, also gave insights on Google’s earnings announcement from CNN

Excerpt: "Whilst advertising spends will go up and down on economic cycles, the overall shift to Cloud computing as the backbone for all digital business — advertising, marketing and sales — is long term," Tom Johnson, global chief digital officer at media agency Mindshare Worldwide, said in an investor note following Google's earnings report

New Work

The Work: Cheerios and Disney have teamed up to encourage individuals to build heart healthy habits. By joining television personalities Barbara Corcoran of Shark Tank, Steve Harvey of Family Feud and Bill Walton of ESPN, Cheerios mascot Buzz the Bee is here to remind people that eating Cheerios is an easy and delicious way that people can take care of their heart. Mindshare led media strategy and content development for this work, as a combined effort between the agency’s teams across planning, investment, and Content+, in partnership with Disney.

People

In the most recent edition of our 5 Minutes With series, we hear from Mindshare’s Art Zambianchi, Executive Director, Client Leadership. He shares career advice, how to stay inspired, and more.

Excerpt: “How have you stayed inspired? I find my creativity or ingenuity tends to come when I’m doing something non-marketing related. I like to read books on history and am constantly amazed at the vision and determination of inventors and past leaders. I also take great motivation from the teams around me. There is an astounding amount of passion and dedication from so many individuals at Mindshare. When we come together as an agency, our purpose and commitment is powerful.”

Events

Mindshare’s Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics team and Fordham University partnered on an experiential learning program with students to bring their innovative ideas and perspectives together to deliver a project in a real-world context. The program was led by Mindshare’s Ikechi Okoronkwo, and Hanna Kobor and Hannah Hutchinson served as program sponsors for the teams.

Excerpt: The first activity was called “Metrics that Matter,” where teams addressed the issue of optimizing media performance, an approach that can involve manually looking at several hundred ways to slice and dice data to evaluate media performance, which is time-consuming and prone to human bias. The Metrics that Matter module enables investment teams to objectively identify and rank the media metrics that have the greatest impact on advertiser KPIs, empowering more impactful optimizations
