Mindshare's Cheryl Idell named one of Adweek's L.A. Media Stars

LOS ANGELES—October 12, 2016Adweek, the leading source of news for marketing, media, and advertising professionals, has named Cheryl Idell, West Coast Lead at Mindshare, as one of its L.A. Media Stars—an inaugural list that celebrates the best and brightest minds across media agencies in southern California.

Idell oversees Mindshare’s offices in Los Angeles, Portland (Oregon), and San Francisco (which was just opened this year). The west coast region is home to 150 employees and clients such as Lionsgate, Nordstrom, BBVA, Campari, Nature Made, and Nike. A seasoned industry veteran, Idell previously held senior roles at Nielsen (leading the Disney relationship), 20th Century Fox, IAG Research (now Nielsen TV Brand Effect), and Initiative Media.

Idell’s award follows a number of recent wins for Mindshare NA. Just recently, Adweek also honored the agency with four Media Plan of the Year Awards, making Mindshare NA one of the most awarded agencies of the competition. Two of those wins were for the LA office’s work with Campari on the “Moments That Matter” campaign. That same Campari program also won the Mobile category at Adweek’s Project Isaac Awards (dedicated to invention and innovation), after being short-listed at Cannes Lions over the summer.

In addition, over the last few months Mindshare NA has taken home awards at the MMA’s Smarties, the IAB MIXX Awards, Cynopsis Media’s HR Awards, the Effie Awards, and more. And, Mindshare NA talent has been recognized at Digiday’s Top Boss Awards, Broadcasting & Cable’s Top Media Planners, Cynopsis Media’s Rising Star Awards, Cynopsis Media’s Sports Media Awards, Advertising Age’s 40 Under 40, and more.
