Streaming Age

Wow, I don’t know where to start. It was such a long and incredible day I had a lot of trouble deciding what to write about.

Today I attended a lot of interesting sessions, but I can only share one with you and it’s going to be ‘More is More: The future of prestige content in the streaming age’ given by Laura Dern and Robert Greenblatt. They covered a lot of topics, but I’ll try to summarize the key ones.

“All what the public has is what they see in the screen. All the strategy matters, but the customer doesn’t see it.” We need to embrace our opportunities and make the best out of them. We are in an era of changes, so we just need to go for them.

In order to be able to continue or go forward we need to look where the pioneers started, where we are , and what happened in between. How far are we from the beginning? Where are we from our goal? Which is the next step? They just opened the road for us, so it’s our time to inspire someone and arrive to the next level.

The value of content is that content can show values. This means, it can portrait the world as it is. The conversation has expanded, it is involving all the themes and all the people. It doesn’t matter if you are male, female, young, old, etc. etc., all what matters is that you are a person and you are deserved to be heard.

If we want to move forward, we need to step up. Although, we need to be careful because technology and insatiable needs are always raising; and if we are not aware of what we are capable of, we might not survive that insatiable feeling.

The industry is now looking for the best of the best. They are pitching for talent, pitching for the valuable resources and want to keep them into their teams. To do so, they are working as a family, they look for health, emotions and goals of each of the members of the company. It is more like a community focused rather that a labor team.

Be kind to your customer, listen to them, and they will do the same for your brand.

It is a total revolution of how industries are taking over, but it is the path we are entering. It is difficult, but we need to step out of the box, risk ourselves and continue going forward.

By last, these ideas could be summarized in the next phrase: ‘Everything is about content, and content is about hearing, feeling, showing, watching and relating. So, why not getting together and share something to create something even larger?’

Highlight of the day: “I told myself in the morning ‘Relax, you still have four days to go, take it easy…’ Well, it didn’t happen. I was so into the sessions and networking that the day passed incredibly fast… but guess what? I couldn’t be better; it was a perfect day.”
