I was so excited, when I was informed that I would have the amazing opportunity to attend the Cannes Lions International Festival as a Young Lions on behalf of Mindshare, being the representative of Hong Kong office from APAC.

Cannes Lions Festival is where brands, agencies, media companies and consultancies discover how to unlock maximum impact from creative marketing with a veritable melting pot of the best international talent in the advertising industry.  I am looking forward to being the eyes and ears on the ground at the festival as the representative of Mindshare.

I work on the connection planning team, leading client growth together with markets to maximize their business objective. I look forward to attending sessions on the below topics as they will help myself and the team to drive growth and meet our objectives:

First, embrace the technological evolution of media, new channels, and consumer behaviors, also the ROI measuring is the key focus on the eyes of all the advertisers. Especially how data and programmatic works for brand ecommerce. To that end, I’m excited to attend the panels “The Evidence Economy: Blockchain Anchoring The Future of Programmatic” and “Dark Data: Creative Insights Amazon Doesn’t Want You To See” as I truly believe in a new eCommerce world. These insights are a key input to connect audience to the brand to maximize ROI, by turning dark data into messaging via an apparel case study. I am looking forward to the case demonstration for the true value to previous untappable data, how to generate measurable success, and how to tell brand stories that can directly connect Customers, Creativity, and Commerce with programmatic.

Second, new technology that the fastest growing tech trends, including AI, 5G, AR, 4D projection and autonomous living will also definitely be included in the must check items. “Future Gazers on the Terrace - Wellness, Cognitive Creativity, AR/VR, 5G” and “Unleash AI for Creativity - a Totally New Campaign Planning Method” are a must see for me this week. AI is for all, how to create an AI campaign plan for the client? The creative ideation process for the new age. Having the inspiration to lead more effectively and champion new ideas and inspiration are the key to move the brand and lead in the market.

I am looking forward to revisiting the region and experiencing the culture through the lens of the international advertising industry, and meeting all of #TeamMindshare and the industry talents.
