Meet #TeamMindshare! This is Marie, Head of Trainees at Mindshare Germany and this is her story:
Communication is key. For me that doesn’t mean just listening to what somebody is saying but trying to understand them. That's why I love learning new languages. For most people it’s learning vocabulary and grammar but for me it has always been about connecting with someone on a deeper level and understanding someone’s culture and background.
For example, Finnish people are known to be loners so no wonder that they have a word for “drinking alone in the comfort of your own home (in your underwear)” its: Kalsarikännit. And I think that is just beautiful.
In a world that is becoming increasingly connected by the day I think it’s important to make an effort to really understand people and to celebrate our differences. And that is what I’m trying to do every day.
