Mindshare expands mobile capability with hire of top mobile veteran
NEW YORK JUNE 5th 2013 — Mindshare today announced that it has appointed industry veteran Jeff Malmad as Mobile Leader, heading up the company’s growing mobile practice.
Malmad’s hire marks an expansion of Mindshare’s investment in its mobile capability. An increasingly important channel for marketers, mobile is also integral to the company’s “Adaptive Marketing” initiative that uses real-time consumer data to rapidly initiate, alter and optimize client marketing efforts.
In his new role, Malmad will be responsible for further integrating mobile into the overall planning and activation process by driving measurable brand results. He will be reporting to John Montgomery, Chief Operating Officer of GroupM Interaction North America who is currently also serving as Mindshare’s Interim Head of Digital.

A highly regarded mobile executive with over 15 years of industry experience, Malmad is a longtime member of the WPP/GroupM family. He most recently served as Group Account Director at Joule, where he headed up the mobile practice, servicing a number of key accounts, including Dell, Shell, Allergan, H&M and Unilever, a significant Mindshare client. Before that, he completed a near 13-year tenure at MediaCom Interaction in various roles. Malmad most recently served as SVP Digital Media Director, developing digital marketing and media campaigns for various accounts.
