Senior Management Restructure At Mindshare

Today Mindshare announces a restructure of it agency management.

“This new management structure is built to exploit the talent in the agency and comes at a time when Mindshare is looking to ambitiously harness its Adaptive Marketing ethos and further develop media planning services and solutions for our clients”, Bill Kinlay, CEO.

Ken Nolan has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The appointment coincides with Emma O’Doherty stepping down as Managing Director for personal reasons and takes up the new role of Chief Planning Officer.

As COO, Ken Nolan is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the agency. He will report directly to CEO Bill Kinlay. Commenting on the appointment, Nolan said “There has never been a more exciting time to be a part of media. The pace of change and the need for Mindshare to play a greater role within our clients business have never been clearer. I am excited and honored to be given this opportunity and looking forward to leading our company over the coming years”

As Chief Planning Officer, O’Doherty will focus on creating transformational change to client servicing and planning in an era where media agencies have been liberated from buying and trading responsibilities. For Mindshare, this side of the business is now being successfully managed by an expanded GroupM Trading division, allowing Mindshare’s Client Leadership, Business Planning and Invention teams to focus on providing clients with the best possible thinking and generate business enhancing solutions.

Speaking about the changes, O’Doherty said “I’ve been incredibly proud to lead Mindshare alongside Bill Kinlay for the past six years. I am looking forward to developing our product to answer changing client and consumer needs. New talent and an expanded leadership team will bring Mindshare and our clients to even greater levels of success.

Joining Bill, Ken and Emma is a wider leadership team to assist in the visioning and service development of Mindshare – it includes Dave Bruen (Managing Partner), David Ahlstrom (Head of Invention), and David Kirkpatrick (Chief Strategy & Digital Officer).
