As we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day across the world with parades, shamrock, céilithe and even green-dyed rivers, it’s a good time to reflect on a year of great work by Mindshare Ireland.

Ireland you are…
…recognised for outstanding work
It goes without saying that winning awards is a vital means of showcasing great work. Across several prestigious awards including the ADFX, the Irish Sponsorship Awards and the Digital Media Awards, Mindshare won and was shortlisted across multiple campaigns and categories. The ADFX, held bi-annually, are the most rigorous in the Irish market focusing on effectiveness and results. The awards ceremony in September saw Mindshare win a gold and three bronze accolades across four separate client campaigns.
Most recently, coinciding with International Women’s Day, Kate O’Leary and Clíodhna O’Dea were shortlisted for the IAPI Doyenne Awards. These awards were created to champion women identified in their field as future leaders and to ultimately encourage more women into leadership positions within the advertising industry. We are all very proud of both Kate and Clíodhna for showcasing their achievements and future potential.
This year, Mindshare and GroupM announced the launch of the GroupMmmys, an inaugural awards set up to represent the work and talent within the GroupM network of agencies in Ireland; with a more rigorous focus on results for clients and business. The GroupMmmys will take place on the 4th May.

Since St. Patrick’s Day 2016, we have had eight new client wins and business retentions. We’ve also produced unique campaigns for some of our international clients including;
- For Lyons Tea (Unilever) we started a conversion about mental health, a topic which remains somewhat taboo in Ireland
- For Ford, we are helping them celebrate a unique milestone of 100 years in Ireland
- For HB (Unilever), we brought a 260ft water slide to Dublin city centre #HBGoodbyeSerious

…a small market packing a punch
January 2017 saw the publication of our annual trends booklet showcasing thought leadership from our Mindshare team. Running since 2010, our Future of… series of publications have been successful across clients, industry leaders and colleges in Ireland.
Mindshare Ireland continues to deliver first in class research projects, giving clients access to data and insights not obtainable anywhere else in the Irish market. Our Day In The Life (DILO) research is testament to this. It is the only comprehensive view of a day in the life of their target audience and how media fits into that day. This is a piece of research that started in 2012 and year-on-year continues to grow and improve.

We are a family who work together to bring great campaigns to life for our clients. And it’s less about lucky Irish charm than speed, teamwork and provocation. As well as a busy year working on campaigns, we have celebrated two weddings, five babies, one engagement and eight new faces in the team.
Here’s to the day that’s in it, and another great year before we celebrate again.
