Simon has a huge range of marketing experience having launched and built two successful agencies; he has been a media planner, account planner and digital strategist and has been Board Director of numerous advertising, media, direct and digital agencies.
Simon was one of 3 partners who launched Poppe Tyson in Europe in 1996 and managed the subsequent merger with Modem Media in Europe.
Modem Media Poppe Tyson grew to become one of Europe's leading interactive marketing agencies with offices in London, Paris and Munich. Simon was responsible for strategy on all clients including IBM, Amazon, Citibank, Sony Playstation, Unilever, ft.com and General Motors, in addition to leading the Digital Media and Research teams.
Simon was also a partner at Delaney Lund Know Warren and Partners. Joining DLKW at the time of their management buy-out in 2000, Simon was instrumental in the agency's development as an integrated agency. He built the agency's capabilities in digital, direct and integrated marketing, leading to the launch of DLKW Dialogue in January 2002 where he was Chairman and Founding Partner.
Most recently Simon launched Big Picture, a next generation digital agency which has built a strong reputation as a thought leader through its blog, consultancy and projects for clients such as Halifax, STA Travel and Tetley.
In September 2005, HSBC was voted 'Global Bank of the Year' by The Banker for the fourth consecutive year.
