Jonathan Cho has been named Managing Director and Head of Search Marketing for Mindshare, North America, effective Wednesday, December 1, 2011. He will be based in the New York Headquarters and will report to Cary Tilds, Leader of Digital Media Operations, Mindshare, North America.
Jonathan’s primary responsibilities will be in overseeing Mindshare’s paid and SEO teams based in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and St. Louis. Client responsibilities will be nationwide and spread across all major verticals.
Jonathan succeeds Michael Verghios in this role, who has relocated to Australia. Previous to his promotion, Jonathan was acting Group Director of Search at Mindshare and oversaw search operations in New York and Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Mindshare in June of 2010, Jonathan led the global search strategy for Samsung and Avon while at Starcom MediaVest. There he built a global search marketing network that operated in all the major international regions and markets that included over 40 countries.
Most recently, Jonathan participated in multiple panels at the 2011 SES San Francisco Conference. The work of his teams has also been recognized, winning the ClickZ Search Award for 2011 (SAP) and as a finalist for the American Business Awards 2011 (Burger King).
