Alex Stil appointed Mindshare Global Head of Programmatic Marketing

May 20 2014, London: Mindshare the global media agency network which is part of WPP, has appointed Alex Stil as Global Head of Programmatic in addition to his current position as EMEA Head of Digital.

Stil will continue to retain his Head of EMEA, Digital role, but will focus on programmatic marketing in that region and elsewhere for the foreseeable future, as Mindshare continues to see strong growth in this sector.

Norm Johnston, Mindshare Worldwide chief digital officer, said: “Alex has a unique combination of operational, digital and creative experience and is widely recognized as a passionate digital pioneer and entrepreneur in the online media market.  Alex will focus on continuing to develop our position in this space across the network.”

Stil will also manage Mindshare’s global relationships with Xaxis, GMTD and Quisma to ensure the agency is developing a clear roadmap for local market roll-and product enhancement.

In January 2009 Alex joined the management of Mindshare Netherlands as COO and head of trading, the first digital expert to join the management of a ‘traditional’ media agency.

As Head of EMEA Digital, Alex is responsible for leading, managing, and developing all digital services across 40-plus countries.

He leads a community of over 100 digital employees across digital capabilities such as strategy, mobile, social marketing, paid search, and performance marketing and is the strategic digital advisor in EMEA to Mindshare’s key clients.
