Celebrations as Irish Media Awards Recognises Best Work From The Industry

Last night over 700 media industry representatives packed themselves into the Burlington Hotel for a night of celebrations at The Irish Media Awards 2013.

We are delighted that Mindshare was among those recognised, winning four awards.

First up was a Gold award for our Jack & Jill campaign in the Best Use of Media (Niche) category – the judges commented that this demonstrated the ‘best kind of collaboration’ involving a charity, a client (Nestlé Ireland), the agency and the media owners.

Our work with Clear Channel Ireland and Kinetic on behalf of HB Ice Cream was awarded a silver in Best Collaboration Between an Agency and Media Owner. This was the most competitive category on the night and the award highlights how keeping the business objective at the heart of media planning can deliver real sales results for clients.

We also won two awards for drinkaware.ie – a gold for Best Research Initiative and a silver for Best Use of Interactive/Digital – both for our work on Reclaim Your Weekend. This success demonstrated a full process – from good research informing a strong insight, which in turn enables the development of a platform that really adds value to the overall communications strategy.

Dermot Hanrahan picked up the special award for Media Pioneer for his contribution to the Irish media marketplace for over 20 years, while other awards on the night went to Spin FM (Media Brand of the Year) and Associated Newspapers (Sales Team of the Year).
