Amrita Randhawa - CEO, Greater China
Amrita has been CEO for Mindshare China, since January 2013 and took over the GCR remit in mid 2016. Under her leadership the agency has doubled in size and achieved recognition across the board from going to the top of RECMA rankings, to coming up #1 in the R3 AgencyScope Study to winning Gold for Campaign Media Agency of the Year.
She has spearheaded the wins of several new businesses including the consolidation of the L’Oreal account (the single largest media pitch in Asia Pacific in 2013), winning back PepsiCo and consolidating the Nestle & Wyeth business with Mindshare. Mindshare China ranked #1 in China for new business wins twice in the past 3 years by R3. Mindshare Taiwan and Hong Kong continue to be recognised as top 3 agencies in these rankings as well.
Amrita has worked across a variety of sectors with extensive experience in the important Chinese and Indian markets. Some of the key clients she has led include Nestle, PepsiCo, Toyota, L'Oreal, Samsung, Nike and Yum.
In her time across the region, Amrita has driven greater accountability and ROI through the use of business analytics, pioneered the development of adaptive marketing programmes and is a staunch advocate on the effectiveness of branded content.
A believer that the best talent comes from within Amrita has led the development of a number of talent programmes at the agency giving Chinese staff exposure across the world through short term assignments in Japan, UK, Australia and more.
Amrita was recognised as one of Campaign Asia Pacific’s 40 under 40 in 2013, awarded Campaign’s Greater China Agency Head of the Year in 2014 and is one of Ad Age China’s 10 Women to Watch in Advertising & Marketing in 2015.
