Job Overview

The Manager Audiovisual has primary responsibility for making the tactical media choices, negotiating, purchasing and optimizing media buys and monitoring overall client delivery in the areas of Television, Radio, Cinema and Online Video. (S)he is the main day to day contact for the Client Manager and has direct contacts with the client and the creative agencies on all audiovisual issues. The Manager Audiovisual aims to reach the highest performances in the target audience at the lowest possible cost related to the chosen strategy. They usually work on a number of projects at the same time, often for a number of different clients.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Director Audiovisual and Client Director.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for creation and defense of tactical plans for audiovisual media, working on a range of client accounts at the same time, often managing various projects and deadlines and create and deliver sending notes and technical delivery information to creative agency and/ or client.
  • Negotiates with media houses to obtain the best rates and most appropriate media spaces
  • Adjust media schedules in response to the latest audience figures
  • Keeping up to date with industry research figures, including audience figures (RTV and Cinema)
  • Monitor and update clients on the effectiveness of campaigns, this includes making post buy analysis in order to take learning’s and implement these learning’s in the future
  • Prepare the canvas for the weekly/monthly reporting towards your clients
  • Take part in client presentation, this means also preparing these presentations
  • Train and give leadership to the audiovisual executive
  • Support Audiovisual Director to manage and respect commitments towards the sales houses
  • Quality assurance of tools (testing and pushing improvements)
  • Responsible in duo with a client leadership or Business Planning member for a specialism domain and be the expert in this domain
  • You will manage budgets and maintaining advertising spend records
  • Check monthly invoices and constantly open link with Finance
  • Delivery of permanent forecast information towards GroupM
  • Meet clients or CP to understand their advertising strategy and building up a picture about their target audience and decide how best to communicate to that audience
  • Liaise and build relationships with media sales companies
  • Supports the development of the corporate image and vision and actively positions Mindshare as the leading agency via suitable PR activities and external representation
  • Participate actively in new business efforts where applicable
  • Supports actively in the delivery of content for our newsletter/blog
  • Improve and stimulate internal communication and sharing of information within Mindshare
  • Provides leadership in developing, negotiating and implementing (new) creative media solutions
  • Active stimulant in improving agency climate (positivism, professionalism and can-do mentality)
  • Analyses sponsoring opportunities and makes the best recommendation towards its clients
  • Has a permanent reflection in order to improve day-to-day business
  • Participates actively in improving research processes

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or equal by experience
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration , Communications or equal by experience (3 years of experience in audio media)
  • Have a natural and genuine interest in the advertising industry new media
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • A naturally positive attitude, focusing on the solution rather than the problem
  • Passionate about media and marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French, English and Dutch
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint & familiarity with media tools and systems
  • Resourceful and creative, recognizing good opportunities
  • Excellent negotiator with good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work alongside a range of people and as part of a team
