As CEO of Mindshare North America, Antony Young is responsible for the management and operations of Mindshare’s seven offices, nearly 1,000 employees and estimated $9.8 billion in billings (RECMA).
Prior to joining Mindshare in September 2011, Antony spent 15 years at Publicis Groupe in Chief Executive roles in Asia, Europe and the U.S., his most recent as CEO of Optimedia International US Inc. Prior to that he was Chief Executive of ZenithOptimedia UK.
Antony’s is an advocate of strategy to drive innovation and business building solutions. He has been a communications strategist on some of the most influential global brands, including Sony, Coca-Cola, L’Oréal, McDonald’s, Procter & Gamble and Toyota.
He is the author of “Brand Media Strategy” (Palgrave MacMillan) which offers unique insights into communications planning in a Google and Facebook era. He also is a regular writer on media strategy for Advertising Age.
Some past career achievements include launching one of the first media agency networks in China, which became the No. 1 media agency in that market in terms of billings. He was also a founding partner and CEO of independent digital marketing and technology start up in China.
In 2010, Antony was a winner of the 4A’s Transformer competition, and presented his industry transforming idea at the 4A’s media and leadership conference, and in 2003 Mediaweek in the U.K. rated Antony one of the top 25 most influential people in the media industry.
