Global Head of R&D
Andy Farr started his career in 1985 working for Millward Brown research. In 1993 he was a founder member of their R&D team, where he was responsible for designing BRANDZ, WPP's world-leading equity evaluation system. He became Global Head of R&D for Millward Brown in 1999.
In 2004 Andy became Chief Research Officer of Millward Brown Optimor, the company's new brand valuation and strategy consulting arm. He was responsible developing the BRANDZ/Financial Times Top 100 ranking of the world's most valuable brands. Andy was also the architect of Millward Brown's Demand & Activation approach which is the basis for MindShare's Connections media planning framework.
In 2006 he joined MindShare to help us understand and harness the power of communications. He is a regular conference speaker and a three-time winner of the WPP Atticus award for original thinking in communications. He lives in Warwickshire with his wife and two sons.
