Unilever Thai Trading has appointed MindShare as it's media channel agency effective January 2004. MindShare was selected over the incumbent, Initiative Media following an intensive pitch conducted over the last 5 months. 'It was the most extensive and thorough pitch we've experienced', said Kevin Clarke, MindShare's Managing Director. The pitch involved two separate planning assignments for large brands, a buying audit, full-scale reviews of in-house systems & tools, as well as detailed proposals for Unilever's future corporate media strategy. Unilever is the largest advertiser in Thailand and possibly the most demanding. 'They wanted an agency that is totally committed to delivering the highest possible standard of service', said Mr. Clarke. 'The extended pitch was designed to thoroughly review agency capabilities and ensure the winning agency is the best place to deliver ´gold standard´ channel communication management.' 'Throughout the pitch, I believe we demonstrated our enthusiasm as well as our ability to create highly innovative and effective communications solutions driven by unique consumer, marketplace and channel insights.'
