Channel 4 will lose out to Google on advertising for the first time in 2006. Online Advertising is fast closing the gap on TV advertising and the change is happening quickly. Channel 4's Andy Duncan said Google would take in £900 million in the UK market in 2006, compared with £800 million at the TV group.

MindShare's European CEO, Nick Waters commented, 'We are moving from glossy brand building which TV is good at to direct marketing which the Internet is suited to'. Dominic Proctor, Chief Executive of MindShare Worldwide said, 'On the current figures the lines would definitely cross in 2008, but that depends more on Google that ITV' What else did MindShare say?
