Exchange - Exchange Planning Positions

Associate – Exchange Planning

This position is ideal for someone at the start of their media career. You will be part of a dynamic planning team working together to achieve marketing and promotional objectives. Alongside Senior Associates and Managers you will prepare budgets, reports, spreadsheets and media proposals. Although you don't need media planning experience, we strongly favor candidates who have completed an internship with an advertising/media agency. You should be numerate, comfortable with budgets and proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Senior Associate – Exchange Planning

As a Senior Associate, you will have day-to-day responsibility for assigned accounts and will be expected to have total command of all the relevant media details. You will contribute to the strategic direction of your accounts in order to create the best possible plans. You will effectively be the steward of the entire planning process. You will need one to two years' planning experience.

Manager – Exchange Planning

The Manager manages all day-to-day planning and client service activity. You will provide media planning recommendations both internally and directly to your clients. You will oversee the preparation of media plans and other deliverables, and supervise the implementation of media plans. You will also be responsible for supervising Senior Associates and Associates. You must have a minimum of four years' planning experience.

Associate Director – Exchange Planning

The Associate Director has primary responsibility for supervising media planning staff on assigned accounts. You will provide key strategic input for media plans and review draft plans. You will maintain regular contact with mid-level clients and have the initial level of responsibility for account profitability and business development. You will also be required to recruit junior staff. You must have a minimum of six years' experience.

Associate - National TV

This position is suitable for someone looking to start their career in National Broadcast negotiations. Under full supervision of the National Broadcast Senior Associate and Manager, you will learn broadcast functions, develop your knowledge of vendor offerings and personnel, understand the necessary computer techniques and learn to use proper broadcast research tools. You will also develop negotiating skills and acquire an appreciation of the needs of all your assigned clients.

Senior Associate - National TV

The Network Negotiator assists in the negotiations of scatter buys. You will be responsible for monitoring deliveries and helping to prepare post-buy analysis. You will also supervise and train entry-level national broadcast buying staff. You must have a minimum of two years' national broadcast experience.

Manager - National TV

The Manager has primary responsibility for negotiating major buys and monitoring delivery. You will guide buyers and assistant buyers in negotiations, maintain day-to-day client contact and prepare post-buy analyses for all national broadcast activity. You will have regular contact with mid-level clients and will supervise junior buying staff. You will assist the Associate Director, National TV to create and implement communications plans for clients' brands. You will acquire an in-depth knowledge of clients' business and competitor activity in order to determine the appropriate advertising and media requirements, and to ensure that plans are properly executed and delivered.

Associate - Digital

This is an opportunity for a recent college graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in emerging media. You will develop and apply a working knowledge of basic media concepts, terminology, media math and media plan execution (e.g., reach, frequency, universe, rating, CPM). You will be responsible for reviewing websites and assisting in trafficking, tracking and reporting of online campaigns. You will be comfortable working with budgets and numbers.

Senior Associate - Digital

You will work under the direction of the Manager to develop and execute digital media plans. You will assist in preparing interactive media plans, schedules, cost estimates and contracts, and coordinating between ad-serving, creative, off line, and accounts departments. You must have a minimum of one year's digital planning experience.

Manager - Digital

The Manager assists in developing and implementing digital media strategies across client accounts while fostering cross-media planning integration. You will have day-to-day agency contact with clients and will be responsible for evaluating digital media proposals. You must have three years' digital media planning experience.

Associate Director - Digital

The Associate Director is responsible for day-to-day client and agency contact in their area of responsibility. You will manage and direct the group's tasks and projects, while overseeing the development of objectives and strategies within the account. You will also supervise the group in interpreting competitive and digital research data. You must have five years' digital media planning experience.

Director - Digital

The Director establishes a client's overall digital strategic approach. You must be able to see growth potential within existing accounts and use emerging media trends and tactics to create innovative media programs for your clients. You must have seven years' digital media planning experience.

Finance Positions

Financial Associate

This is a great entry-level position for someone who is interested in the financial aspects of media. You will be responsible for processing network, cable and syndication invoices for client payments. You will work with Media Buyers on a daily basis to resolve discrepancies, ensuring station invoices are cleared for payment. You will process invoices sent electronically for payment, and batch out hard copy invoices and clear them for payment. Each week you will run reports for Media Buyers for open items. Your job responsibilities will also include calling stations for missing and revised invoices and clearing station statements. This position is located in NY only.
