Brandt’s appointment follows the recent hiring of Sebastian Hupf as CEO Mindshare Germany.
Nick Emery, Global CEO Mindshare, said: ‘Katja’s experience combining brand and performance across both the client and agency side is second to none in the region. Her partnership with Sebastian’s will ensure a great platform for the future success of Mindshare Germany and the wider DACH region. It’s obviously a sad day to be saying goodbye to Christof and I have nothing but praise him. He is purple through and through. We started the company together and we cannot thank him enough for his vision and professionalism. We wish him every success and the whole network thanks him. We will all miss him"
Matthias Bruell, CEO GroupM Germany, said: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Katja to Mindshare, she will strengthen the entire Group from a business perspective and I’m looking forward to working with her and Sebastian. At the same time, Christof has been a fantastic servant for Mindshare and GroupM in Germany and we’re very sad to see him leave. We wish him every success in his future ventures.
Katja Anette Brandt, CEO Mindshare DACH, said: 'Mindshare is a great leading agency brand and I am proud to be part of the team. I am looking forward to a strong collaboration with the excellent management team within Mindshare and GroupM to lead Mindshare and its clients successfully into the future"
Christof Baron, Chairman Mindshare Germany and CEO, Mindshare CEE said: ‘I owe Mindshare a lot and I am grateful for the time I have enjoyed in the group. The agency has challenged me all these years, both the German management and my mentor Paul Vogler and also the international board. Departing Mindshare is not easy for me because I feel closely connected with many people in the group across the world and with many of our clients who have placed their trust in the agency and in me personally. However, it is now time to try something new and to be true to the motto: We are living in the most interesting times ever, and when, if not now.’
Brandt will assume her new role in March 2017.
