What I stopped doing...

I'm constantly amazed at the number of things "I used to do"... And I'm not talking bad behaviour! Take another peak at what the world once was and add to the list.

Adlab helped jog my memory:

  • Rewinding VCR tapes - do you remember the warning messages on the tape?
  • Formatting floppy disks - as a child I loved the fluorescent disks.
  • Loading film into a camera - fliddly with fingers
  • Getting up from a couch to change channels or volume
  • Remembering phone numbers (& remembering addresses)
  • Rewinding a tape with a pen - and the pain that was when the tape would come out of the system.
  • Sending a fax - who does this any more!?
  • Dubbing tapes - creating mix tapes to give rather than an MP3/4

And on the way OUT...

  • Map readers - your role in the front seat of a car
  • Cash - in some parts of the world with "tap and go" cards
  • Thumbs - and their special use as it becomes a finger when playing computer games
  • Short term memory (names and birthdays) - and the reliance on technology

Enjoy!
